How to set a gold price alert

Open the app, go to the Alerts section, and tap "Add Alert." Select Gold, choose whether you want to be notified when the price goes above or below a level, and enter your target price. The alert saves immediately and runs in the background — you don't need to keep the app open.

You can set multiple alerts at different price levels. For example: an alert at $2,800 as a potential buying opportunity, and a separate alert at $3,200 as a potential selling target — both active simultaneously.

Above and below alerts

Above alerts notify you when gold crosses a price level upward — useful for tracking a breakout above a resistance level or a new all-time high. Below alerts notify you when gold crosses downward — useful for catching a dip to your target buy price.

For investors with standing buy orders at specific price levels, the alert ensures you know the moment the market reaches your order level so you can confirm execution or adjust if needed.

Market context when the alert fires

When an alert fires, the notification includes the current price and its change from the previous close — so you immediately know whether the target was reached as part of a larger trend or a brief spike.

Tap the notification to open the app directly to the metal's full price chart, where you can see the intraday price movement in context before deciding to act.
