Gold & Silver Prices Live — Privacy Policy

Gold & Silver Prices Live ("the App") is developed by Mobile Card Games & Travel Apps LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and how your privacy is protected.

1. Data We Collect

Gold & Silver Prices Live works without an account, and you can use it without providing any personal information. Viewing live prices sends no data about you — the app simply reads price documents (metal, currency, price, timestamp) from our Firebase backend.

• Price alerts (optional): If you create a push price alert, the app sends your device's push notification token, a randomly generated installation ID (a UUID created on your device, not tied to your identity), your app version, and the alert settings you choose (metal, currency, target price, and condition) to our Firebase backend so the alert can be delivered.
• Purchase information: If you subscribe to Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple. RevenueCat receives the transaction details and a random anonymous app-user ID to validate your subscription. Your Pro status (a yes/no flag) is also synced to our backend so alert limits apply correctly.

The app does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. It contains no analytics SDK, no ads, and no tracking.

2. How We Use Your Data

The small amount of data described above is used for exactly one purpose: delivering the price alerts you set up. Your push token tells our backend where to send the notification, the random installation ID lets you manage your own alerts, and your Pro status determines how many alerts you can create. Nothing is used for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

The app communicates with the following services:

• Google Firebase (Google privacy policy): hosts our price feed and the alert backend. Reading prices sends no personal data, though Firebase may log standard request metadata such as your IP address per Google's policy. Firebase App Check sends a device integrity token to verify requests come from the genuine app — this is anti-abuse attestation, not tracking.
• RevenueCat (revenuecat.com): manages subscription validation. It receives Apple transaction data and a random anonymous ID — never your name or email.
• Apple (Apple privacy policy): processes payments and delivers push notifications through the Apple Push Notification service.

The Settings screen contains outbound links (for example, to other apps on the App Store and to a bullion dealer's website). Tapping a link opens the destination site, which operates under its own privacy policy; the app itself sends no data with these links.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.

4. Data Storage and Retention

• On your device: Your settings and a cached copy of recent prices (shared with the home-screen widget) are stored locally. The random installation ID is kept in your device's Keychain.
• On our backend: Only your alert configurations, keyed by your push token and random installation ID, are stored in Firebase. Deleting an alert in the app removes it from the backend.
• Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data and invalidates your push token, so no further notifications can be delivered.

5. Data Security

All communication with Firebase, RevenueCat, and Apple happens over encrypted HTTPS connections, and Firebase App Check verifies that backend requests originate from the genuine app.

6. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete any price alert in the app at any time, which removes it from our backend.
• Decline or revoke notification permission in iOS Settings, which stops all push alerts.
• Remove all local data by uninstalling the app.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) give you rights over your personal data, including the rights to know, access, correct, and delete it. Because we do not hold your data on servers we operate, there is typically nothing for us to access or delete on request — deleting the App deletes your data. Where the App does process data in transit, or a third-party service described above collects data, you may contact us at the email below to exercise your rights, and we will respond as required by applicable law.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. In some regions, including the European Union, a higher minimum age applies to consent for data processing; the same statement applies there — we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the applicable age.

8. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting user data on any system we operate, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
